Networking a Dell & and Apple (Mac Laptop)together?
The Dell is not on a domain but rather a workgroup.
Dell Computer Info

Workgroup Name: OFFICE212
Computer Name: D1
Mac Info
---------------------------------
Computer Name: M1
What I want to do is make the Mac (Apple machine) part of the workgroup that the dell is on OFFICE212.
On the Mac, I followed the instructions to see the computer name. It then had someting about workgroup but I saw something ending in .local. I saw an option for making a universal something. Any idea how I can get the mac on this workgroup?
