Default My wireless router works great with my PC. However, with my mac it is

slower than dial-up. Can I fix this? I just got a wireless router. It is super fast on my PC. However, tonight I used it with my mac and it is so slow it is painful. This is not good as I typically use a mac. Does anybody have any ideas on what I can look for to speed up the mac with the wireless?

Just for comparison sake, have you tried plugging it into Ethernet to make sure that it's fast when it's wired?

If that goes well, I'd check the security settings for wireless. You might have settings for high security that make the wireless inefficient.

Although it seems like if you had a security mismatch with the router that you wouldn't get connected at all.

Let's see how your wired test goes! Make sure you have some benchmark to compare to like a SpeedTest.

Good luck!
