Default How to install Apple AirPort Express software on windows computer?

I got an AirPort and it uses the ethernet cable from the modem and so that cable can't be plugged into the desktop so it has no internet now. The manual that came with the AirPort said it's possible to install on Windows so it can just get the internet from the router but I had Windows XP and when I tried installing AirPort it said it needed to to be Windows XP, Vista SP1, or higher to install. So I got Windows Vista Home Premium from a friend that she got with her Dell computer and it still didn't work. I got the same message. So just wondering if I used the wrong Vista version? or is the program just not going to install at all?
