Default Problems with Apple Airport with Cisco Router....?

I have a room separate from my house and they both need wifi. So when we bought a Cisco e1200, we realized that it wasnt strong enough. We thought about connecting a Apple Airport to the Cisco to extend WiFi to the Room and house. So I spent 130 dollars on a Airport and it is connected to my Cisco router but now I cant connect to my Cisco router. But when I connect to my Apple I get internet flawlessly. I cant connect AT ALL to my Cisco bye itself anymore. I tried to trouble shoot and all it does is reset the network adapter and say inspect the modem. Help please?
