I'm trying to get wifi on my computer at home and all these forums keep saying stuff about apple airport...can macbooks only connect to wifi from apple airport? or can they connect using other routers? I have a cisco linksys router at home.
My Macbook does find the router, but it won't connect to it because it has a "self assigned IP adress"
Do Macbooks need apple airport to get wifi?
