Default can macs connect to the same network as the rest of the computers in my house?

help!!! I want to buy a macbook, but my parents will not buy me one unless it will be able to connect to the same network connection as all the other computers in my house. does anyone know if i need to buy a different internet connection in order to connect with a mac?

It will work just fine. Wireless Networks aren't brand specific - Macs can blend with PC's just fine.

In fact, getting a Mac onto a WiFi network is about a billion times easier than a PC! You turn it on, and it will autodetect the network and ask if you want to join. Simple as that!

My old roomates and I had three PC's (a Sony, an HP, and a Compaq) and four Macs (two MacBooks, a MacPro, and a iMac) on the same network. Super simple!
