Default Mac address changer windows vista with wireless connection to a router not

in jeopardy? How can you change you mac address for windows vista without harming your internet connection which mine is wireless which is connected to a router. When i tried to change it on another computer to try it it worked but the internet went down. does it mean i have to change router settings and allow the new mac address.

im sorry i dont know how to reply so i did it here. Yes mac address's are burned in but is there any way to change. my friend did it on a online game so people wouldnt know that was him when he was playing.
