Default Why did my friends Mac laptop get 100fps on my wireless network?

I am using AT&T DSL (highest speed) with a 2WIRE wireless router. My computer is AMD 5000+, with Nivida 8800 GT (PCIE) I am hardwired into router. We were playing World of Warcraft the other day and I was getting 50-60 fps at lat 150 -300 but my friends mac laptop was running 100fps and lat below 100ms. I cant figure out why? help me

"fps" is actually "Frames per Second", which has nothing to do with how your router is performing. It has more to do with the video card capabilities and some of the settings in your computer vs. his settings.

There's a lot of different reasons that he could be getting higher FPS than you. His video card could be updated, he could have it at a much lower resolution which would yield him much faster framerates.

He probably doesn't have all the effects and quality turned up on his laptop and that's yielding him better framerates, but not better quality. Also for latency, you're talking about a minor difference in speeds and sometimes wireless routers can transfer faster over wifi than over wired. (Wireless N etc has theoretically higher speeds)
