We have a netgear router and the internet works fine wirelessly on the computer downstairs and the pc's upstairs and even on my ipod touch which sits right next to my mac laptop. But whenever i try and use the wireless on my mac it either wont connect or it connects but it drops out all the time. Ive tried using it in the same room as the router and it still struggles to pick the signal up. Thinking its just where my laptop is positioned i test the net on my ipod and it works fine so i dont think its anything to do with the router or modem or the wireless connection its something to do with my mac.. any suggestions???
the internet does work but it drops out all the time ..so it does work on airport

if your wireless isn't an Airport it won't work with macs.
