virgin media/cable is my current net provider. an ethernet cable currently runs from the virgin media modem into the netgear router then out of it into both of the pc's. i've had either one running, but have been unable to get both running at the sametime. i am currently not using the adsl on the router as i have cable. hope this makes sense. thanks

You can have as many PC's and Mac's and Linux boxes on the same network as you want. Make sure all computers are set to be on the same workgroup & as well as network.
