Default Pros and Cons of installing Linux and Windows alongside Mac OS on a Macbook?

Hi!

My computer recently stopped working and I decided to purchase a Macbook; my first Macbook.

I have been using almost exclusively Ubuntu for the past 3 years, and other Linux distros for many more years. I am planning on installing Ubuntu Karmic alongside Mac OS using the instructions supplied here: http://help.ubuntu.com/community/MacBook . I will also possibly install Windows in case I ever feel like playing some 3D game.

I would like to know if some people have been using Ubuntu + Mac OS on a Macbook successfully? I don't want to simply "experiment" but rather, I want to use Linux daily on Apple hardware.

What are the pros and cons of such a set-up? Is it realistic to expect this to work and remain stable? Please advise
