Default What's wrong with my iMac display? It changes the tint on its own?

Every time I start up my iMac, I see the screen for a few seconds, and it looks fine. Then it turns a few shades lighter, like a white tint has been added. I can actually see it blink to this lighter setting. Then it stays that way until I turn off the computer. Nothing else seems to be effected. Just the overall tint.

I can't find a setting to tweak to change the tint. When I try changing the screen brightness, that's not the problem at all.

When I delete the "com.apple.desktop.plist" file from my preferences folder, this makes the problem not happen for a few times. That is, the display stays at the correct tint. But a few times later, it starts doing this white-tint thing again.

Why is this happening? How can I make it stop? I would prefer to find a more permanent solution than deleting the desktop.plist file every few startups.

Thank you.
