Mac Forums

I'm wanting to get a computer, but I'm not quite sure of what I'll need. If I get a Windows PC, I'll use software such as Sony Vegas Pro, Adobe After Effects, Sibelius, and Pro Tools, and I'll use them all quite frequently. As for a Mac, I would use software such as Logic Pro, Final Cut, Adobe After Effects, and Sibelius. I'm hardly interested in gaming in the slightest.

How much computer power would you recommend (Processor, RAM, hard drive, etc.), and would you point me toward a Mac, or a Windows PC? If you could tell by the software, I would use it primarily for music composition/ recording/ editing, and video editing. I also own a lot of media. If a Mac would better suit my needs, I would be more than willing to spend an extra few-hundred dollars, so don't give me an answer such as "Windows because Macs are overpriced."
