Default Mac Book Pro 2010 OS installing error?

Mac Book Pro 2010, 13 inch, 2.4 GHz
Originally I had Snow Leopard OS installed on my Mac computer. During the installation process of Lion OS an unexpected error occurred. Soon I learnt that my computer had already had firmware password set up which I can neither reset nor get through. None of the hot keys appear to work. Switching RAM slots procedure appears to be useless as well. There is no Mac Service Centre around. Starting to lose hope for my precious Mac. What should I do? Thank you in advance!
