Can I use and how to use my iMac as a monitor for a Powerbook G4?
Hi guys,
I bought a powerbook G4 off someone and I think it only needs minor repairs- tune up, restore and update the iOS and etc. however, the screen is damaged and I can only see a minor section of the screen. I can't do repairs on it with the screen I have so this leads me to wonder if there is a way to connect the powerbook to my iMac? The powerbook's model number is A1106 and my iMac is the 21.5 inch Late 2009 model. I know there's the firewire cable and then some say to connect it thru an ethernet cable and such. Please if you know how to do this explain it step by step- I'm computer savvy but I don't know how much I am going to understand.
Also, I want to resell this computer just to make back what I paid for the lot- everything seems functional as far as I can tell but the computer's pretty banged up. Should I put this on ebay without fixing the screen (screens are like $100) or do you think its worth to fix the screen?
Thanks in advance and 10 to the best!!!
Yeh I don't want to hot wire anything- just create a temp screen or something
