Default MacBook Pro Trackpad isn't responding, how can I fix it?

I got my MacBook Pro in the Summer, so it's not old, and recently my Trackpad hasn't been responding when I click on certain parts of it. Also when I try to select something, like a folder on my Desktop, the square just disappears as if I had left go of the mouse even though I didn't.

I want to know if I can fix it without have to send it in for repair.
