Default Any way to increase the allocated VRAM in a MacBook Pro?

I have 4GB of DDR3 Ram with a 2.66 GHZ Processor, and 256mb 9600GT, and when I bought the laptop I thought this might be enough to run games, and it is, resident evil 5 surprisingly runs very well on full resolution, high settings (Probably due to the great codeing of the game). However when I try to run GTA IV, a much more demanding game, I find that I can only run medium/low settings.
All of that ram but only 256mb allocated VRAM seems a bit un-balanced. Is there anyway I can allocate more ram to VRAM. PLEASE NO BASIC ANSWERS LIKE 'VRAM IS THE AMOUNT OF RAM DEDICATED TO VIDEO' :P Thanks.
