Default How should I configure the new MacBook Pro? Serious computer people, HELP?

I have been an extremely bias PC (windows) user my entire life until the 2010 MacBook pros came out. I have come to the well thought out conclusion that I want a new MacBook but I'm still undecided on what configuration to get. It comes stock with a 500gb 5400 rpm hard drive but I can upgrade to a 500gb 7200 rpm drive for another 50 bucks, or a 128gb solid state drive for 200 bucks (which I think is a good deal)... In your opinion, which drive would you choose, and is the solid state drive worth the money, does it make that big of a difference? on my computer now, my C drive is only 105gb and I still have about 20gb left. But I like the extra size on the 500gb 7200 rpm drive... I guess what I'm asking is, does the solid state drive make that much of a difference? I also heard somewhere that copying files to a solid state drive is very slow, slower than a hard drive, is this true? Thanks guys!!!
