Macbook Pro, old & new - what's the difference?
This is, I think, a question best answered by a skilled, up-to-date computer expert. I'm looking at buying a 15" 2.66GHz Macbook Pro, and I recently noticed on Apple's site that they've changed some of the hardware for said product. These are the main differences I found:
old: NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT with 256MB
new: Intel HD Graphics + NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M with 512MB
(the 9400M and Intel HD Graphics each have 256MB shared with the main memory)
old: 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor
new: 2.66GHz Intel Core i7 processor
Functionally, what are the differences between these two setups? And is either one significantly better than the other?
