How much should I ask for my used MacBook Pro?
I bought it in January 2008 from the Apple store in Tokyo, Japan. It's a fully functional English computer, but as is the case with all Mac products, you can easily switch to the language of choice. The keyboard has English and Japanese characters, but otherwise it's just like a regular Mac.
I've dearly loved this laptop and the screen size (it's not the super large screen; it's the one that's one step down). I've never had any problems and mostly just used it to surf the internet, download movies and for word processing for my online classes. The condition is excellent, aside from a small ding in the metal on the exterior and two keys that are showing wear.
Any suggestions as to what I can ask? I'm not sure how to research what model this, since they seem to upgrade, or at least I think they do. When I clicked on the apple icon in the toolbar at the top of the screen, it indicated that my laptop is a MacBook Pro3, 1 and Mac OS X and version 10.5.8. The processor is a 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo.
I would be grateful for any comments or feedback. Thank you so much!
EDITED TO ADD ~ MY LAPTOP IS THE 15" MODEL AND HAS THE ORIGINAL DISKS. ALREADY LOADED IS MICROSOFT OFFICE WITH WORD AND THE OTHER PROGRAMS (EXCEL AND POWERPOINT). THANKS FOR THE GREAT INPUT ALREADY. I'LL KEEP CHECKING BACK!
UH-OH. I'M NOT FINDING THAT MY COMPUTER IS WORTH WHAT EVERYONE IS SAYING. IS THE "L2 CACHE" THE SAME THINGS AS RAM? THE MAC2SELL.NET WEBSITE WANTS TO KNOW HOW MUCH RAM, AND THE ONLY THING I COULD THINK OF TO ENTER WAS 4MB (THE L2 CACHE AMOUNT). THE PRICE I'M GETTING IS $690. HAVE I DONE SOMETHING WRONG?
