Use the apple adapter to plug the mini display port to the HDMI and the HDMI into the TV, then I cannot get the sound to work on the TV, it plays through the laptop speakers. I went to preferences, sound, output, then chose the device (HDMI that was listed), still wouldn't work. Suggestions?
I was able to get the picture (playing a movie), just not sound, except for on the laptop
