Default Looking for a TV optimized for both N64 and Macbook Pro?

Alright. I'm in the market for a TV that I can hook my Nintendo 64 to, as well as my Macbook Pro. I need to know what my options are.
I could purchase an older TV and hook my N64 up to it through an S-Video or A/V connection, but then what connection would I use for my Macbook? I would assume I would use S-Video, but if I were to watch movies on the older TV (probably 480p, right?) what are the disadvantages to using an old TV with a Macbook?
I could also get an HDTV, use HDMI with my Macbook, and hook my N64 to it with S-Video, but I was told that S-Video may not work on an N64 with and HDTV, and that A/V would be best. Is S-Video a reliable connection from N64 to HDTV, or should I look for an HDTV with an A/V input?
Thanks! I'm really stuck on this one.
