Just picked it up on auction was hoping 2 use 4 mail, surf,etc. need 2 get around all the prev owners passwords.how xactly do i clean it out?

You'll probably need to get Apple to remove the password, provided you can give them proof that you are the legitimate owner of the computer and whatever fee they charge for removing the password.

You might want to try contact the person running the auction to get the password.
