MacBook Pro is not detecting my External Hard Drive?
I have a MacBook Pro 13" with 10.6.1 and I have a 750GB Western Digital MyBook. I've had the external working for like a little under a year with a lot of stuff on it. I've used it with the Mac fine for about a month. Suddenly I'm plugging it in and its not detecting that it's there. The external will turn on like it always does when I plug it in, but its not showing on the desktop. The Mac is detecting flash drives fine. And for those who have WD externals, I can hear the drive and the top and bottom lights are alternating.
Could it be the new SL update?
I can't think of anything else I changed about my computer recently, I used the drive just last week.
