I had a couple questions for anyone familiar with the iPhone available to verizon customers.

I currently have an android and the only reason I like it is because I can download whatever, put it on my memory card, and find it through the system folders. I was wondering if this is possible with an iPhone. I know there's no memory card in them, but if it's plugged into the computer, are the system folders available to browse?

I know the set up on an ipod but wasn't sure if it would be the same on an iPhone. I have limited monthly usage on my internet so I use my data package to download videos and whatnot & would like to know if I could still transfer to my computer [preferrably WITHOUT going through iTunes] like I can now with the droid.

If I am able to, what are the names of the system folders I should look out for??

Also, any complaints? I've only ever had ipods and never had a complaint with them.
