I have an apple tv. I am wanting to rip all my DVDs to my 1tb network drive. I want to rip them directly from DVD into an iTunes format. I also want to be able to keep the full resolution, etc to keep the DVD in full high quality. Is there any free software I can use to do this.
Thanks in advance for your help. Ask for more details if it will help. I need software for windows xp. The videos are just going to be used in my home and not shared over the Internet. |

Yep, You can use Handbrake to rip it in full res copies and copies friendly to iPods, Apple TV and you can use your own compression methods. Handbrake is free but it is illegal to use in the US - But you paid for that collection of DVDs and your just using them on your personal devices - right? for personal use? I think that shouldn't be illegal, You're not gonna sell them, You already paid for that movie, and you're just gonna use your Apple TV rather than the disc to watch it.
