Default How do you connect a PC with a Mac OS 9.2?

Recently I received a Mac laptop and I'm wondering is there anyway to move files from my PC to the laptop. I am accustomed to the PC and how to operate its basic functions but when it comes to a mac I'm bewildered.
If you can will you please detail the process of how this is to be done. I'm far from being tech savvy...
Yes I know in computer years my laptop is pretty much prehistoric but someone gave it to me and I want to make this work.

Your best bet will be to transfer them via a CD.

What you need is to implement a thing called SAMBA. Samba is the *Unix* equivalent to widows file sharing. Here is a tutorial for implementing this on a Mac. Coincidentally, this is nearly the same for sharing linux files to a PC.

I suspect that Samba is already installed on your Mac, but if not, you can get it here for free.
