If a PC and a MAC have exactly the same specs, for design, would you buy a PC or...
...a MAC for $300-$500 more? I plan on running the full Adobe suite. But have not located any good info on if the suite runs better on a MAC or a PC. -- I don't care about virus issues or user friendliness as these things are easily worked around by getting to know your machine and safe internet use.
Since PCs and MACs are pretty much running the same hardware now-a-days, I really need a good explanation on why people a choosing MACs over PC in the design field when you could get a drastic increase in RAM, GDDR, and hard drive space for a cheaper/similar price.
Update:
--------->
I have priced several PCs compared to MACs and yes they are cheaper for the same if not higher hardware specs.
I'm not being a advocate for PCs - I'm honestly asking this. I don't know if I'm missing something. I like MACs but I enjoy PCs too. I'm getting ready to drop the cash, just don't know where. I haven't had a new computer in a long time. (Currently using OSX 10.4.11 and Windows XP - I use both computers equally)
