Mac Forums

I am going to Columbia College Chicago next year (an art and design school) for Graphic Design and need to start looking at laptops. All my desktop computers I have ever had have been custom built Windows PC's with extra memory and excellent graphics cards because I use Adobe Creative Suite and I play video games on my computer. I feel like if I get a Windows Laptop, I will have more choices in memory, graphics, and features. But, everywhere I look, people still say MacBook Pro is the best design computer. PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE!!!
OTHER THOUGHTS:
-I don't like where Mac is going with all online, in the "Cloud" technology with no DVD ports and non-customizable design.
-I have a Terabyte External Harddrive and I'm not sure If it could re-format to Mac
-I also have many computer games that are Windows and IF I take them to college (probably not) I would need a Windows computer.

Help me decide, I'm not worried about money too much, so all i need is for you to persuade me one way or the other.
