Default Using a Mac in college for graphic design?

Starting college in the fall and they use macs in the graphic design class. I've always used a pc for my graphics and my graphics teacher in high school told me that I would be using a mac in college. Right now I can't afford a mac, but I plan to buy one after 2 years in college...I actually got a brand new gateway laptop last year as a gift. But I was just wondering if it is really hard to use a mac if you've never used one before. I mean, I don't want to look like an idiot in front of everyone in my class!

Right now im typing on a 2007 iMac. I have used mac's since i could use a computer. For college they are a brezze. No viruses, spyware or trogans! A lot less to worry about. Mac's may not have as much software made for them but that is rapidly changing. They are such an ease to work with. They may be more expensive, but worth the price!

Macs are SIMPLE to use just like a computer SHOULD be.

Switch as soon as you can, you won't regret it.

I went through the same thing last year. I got a new toshiba laptop before I left for college and found out that we would be using macs. I'd have to say that macs aren't that hard to use, I still I get a little frustrated because I'm so used to using a pc, but they are quite similar. Its good to know how to use both anyways. Don't worry about it though, there were a few people in my class who didn't know how to use them either.
