Can Apple reject your iPhone 3g if it has corrosion but the water indicators are...
...still white? my iphone has never been in water and the water sensors are still white but i just took my iPhone to Apple's Genius Bar because it stopped working and the guy told me that because of the corrosion in the dock they can claim it has been in contact with water and refused to give me a new iPhone, not only did he tell me that there was too much corrosion but he said that the indicator showed it had been in contact with water and i just checked both of them as he did in front of me at the genius bar and both sensors were still completely white. i run with my iPhone in my pocket and i sweat alot when i run so i think thats where the corrosion comes from, but because the sensors arent red i thought that they had to refund me. plus the guy at the genius bar lied and said it had a clearly red indicator when i can see no red on either one. can they do this or should i go back and try to get my phone back again?
i forgot to say, yes both i and the guy at the genius bar checked and the phone is still under the 1 year contract for 8 more days and since mine was so closed to expired he said i had to pay to have it fixed but if it had been closer to when i bought it they would of replaced it.
by corrosion i mean that the dock had deteriorated and had "rust on it as if it had gotten immersed in water" is what the guy at genius said
