Here's what happened: I unplugged my nano while it was still charging so it got messed up.
Then I plugged it back in to the usb thing and itunes came up and said i needed to restore my ipod. I clicked the restore button and that worked, but then a window came up that said "this ipod appears to be corrupted" or w/e.... so what do I do to correct this error? I don't know what to do b/c I deleted all the songs I originally had in my itunes so I could restart my ipod fresh.... is that going to affect anything? Please use simple step by step instructions! |

Well, since you deleted your songs in iTunes you made it a lot more complicated on yourself. I don't suppose you made yourself a backup of your library?
If you still have songs on your iPod and it's no longer coming up as corrupted, I know there are some apps that will let you copy the files over..but those apps aren't typically fully legal, so that's not a real good option. You're going to have to use the Restore button and then reload it all...if this happens again (which it might..it's an electronic item..they break every so often), do NOT delete stuff out of iTunes. As long as it didn't say anything in your iTunes itself was corrupt, there's no need to delete things and it just makes it take a lot longer to get going again. Good luck! |
