Default ipod nano problem?

ok i have a 8GB ipod nano and i downloaded a bunch of wma songs from my windows media player on it but they arent showing up
i understand im supposed to convert them to itunes but my ipod memory is now 6.5 GB which means the wma songs are taking up memory
THE SONGS ARE OBVIOUSLY IN MY IPOD BECAUSE THEY ARE TAKING UP MY MEMORY
EVEN THOUGH THEY SHOULDNT BE IN MY IPOD AND WHEN I TRY TO CHECK TO SEE IF THEY ARE IN MY IPOD THEY DONT SHOW UP IN MY IPOD

You cannot transfer WMA songs to an iPod. Reason? Apple doesn't like Windows, so they crack down on WMA format. But don't fear. There should be a built in function in iTunes that will automatically convert the WMA file to an AAC format, which is universally accepted among iPods.
