Default Hi, does anybody know why my iphone only connects to my wifi network at home...

...when i turn my laptop on? I have a belkin Wireless router and a cable modem.
well that answer does not help, so I gotta take a laptop to an Internet cafe in order to connect to their wifi network? Don't think so, am I misunderstanding wifi? Does my wireless router not kick out a wifi sigal?
