Default Mac won't start properly...help?

I had used the command+option+r+p keyboard combination when I was starting up my Mac to see if it would fix a Boot Camp problem...and it had changed to this black screen with this blinking white line in the top left hand corner. So I unplugged my iMac and started it again...and it went straight to that black screen...so I unplugged again and turned it on. While I was turning it on, I held the option key down and I was able to choose to go into my Mac and start normally. Since then, I have to hold down the option key on startup and choose my Mac drive...how do eliminate this problem?
