Default I need a computer for photo and video editing- should I get a Mac or PC?

I have a budget of £1000, including a 21" or 22" monitor, what hardware should I get?

A Mac. Windows is too slow for video editing. Macs come with iPhoto and iMovie, which is updated regulary, as apposed to Paint and Windows Movie Maker, which are almost never updated.

depends on the editing program you're using, if you're using final cut pro mac is best for you. if you're using avid pc would be ok.
