Default I have a song on itunes, that I want to keep, but...?

Okay, so me and my friend made a song last year, and then put it on my computer's itunes. A week or two ago, my computer was being retarded, so I took it to the store, and got it fixed up. Everything was lost, including our song. I had it on my ipod, but i'm scared that if i plug my ipod into my computer the song will be lost. What can i do? Worst case scenario, I can just remake the song with her, but what are your suggestions?

I would say go to setting on itunes and change how the computer automatically sync songs. Change it to manualy sync, which is, you sync it by urself and it will not delete any item from your device. gudluck

EASY EASY EASY fix . First plug ipod into the computer. When the itunes app opens click no to the pop up window asking you to erase and sync. then got into the toolbar to the left and click the ipod icon. A list of things should come up "ipod version and options" if this window does not come up look up at the top and there should be various tabs music pod-cast and photos etc. click summery. If you look at bottom their should be a subtitle that says options under that it should say automatically open itunes when ipod connected unchecked it. the square should be blank. Eject ipod and unplug it. OK if you have a mac you need to enable hidden flies with terminal "look on youtube for the steps lots of videos exist" If you have a PC do the same! This step is v idle to the proses. When the regular screen shows up on the ipod press and hold the middle and the top button until the ipod restarts then hold the middle and the bottom button DO THIS AS FASt AS POSSIBLE " the screen is not lit so u should do this step under a light. A screen should show up with acheckk mark "Sometimes the screen goes away if you dont hold it long enough this step is thehardiestt but just keep trying." Once you have done these steps plug in the ipod. An ipod icon should come up on your desktop. "if not redo the last two steps." Thecheckk should turn into ΓΈ mark Or a circle with and line through it on the ipod screen.Double click the icon and go to ipod_control>Music there should be folders that say random stuff on them just click on them till you find the song. Then just CTRL click copy or drag to desktop. If you have any questions JUST CONTACT ME PLEASE!!!
