Default Trying to use a song downloaded from iTunes in Final Cut Pro Sequence.?

Okay, I'm sure there is probably a more specialized forum I could ask this question in but I'll give Yahoo a try because you guys are great. So I'm trying to edit together this video of my friend dancing at this bar... I want to use ABBA's "Dancing Queen" for the audio track. Well I paid the 99 cents from iTunes to purchase the track (which I have never done before) and it's in m4p format and I'm unable to convert it to a wave file in iTunes because it's protected. I went ahead and imported the file "as is" into FCP and rendered it but when I play it back I hear nothing. Anybody know how I could go about either converting this file to a useable format for FCP or can I somehow use the m4p? Any help would be great. I really want to embarrass my friend and this viedo should do just the trick!!! Thanks for reading.

fce and fcp are both retarded when it comes to inserting audio. however, what you can do it put the song into either iMovie HD '06, or iMovie '08, and then save that file. what you do next is, you have to import the file to fcp. then you should have the audio working. on imovie 08 i know that you can just export the file you're working on straight to fc, but i'm not sure with imovie 06. if you have a recent mac, you can use imovie 08, and if you don't have it, then you'll have imovie hd 06, and if you (for some bizarre reason, don't have imovie hd 06 either) then you can download it for free from apple.com.

basically, you put your itunes song into one of those programs, and get that file into fc, and it will work. good luck, and i hope this works/helps.
