Default What is better for web-design/development a MAC or PC?

I am currently taking Dreamweaver classes and have a MAC at my house. My friend says I need a PC to test IE and other browsers after I design a site on my MAC with Dreamweaver. I eventually want to learn Visual Studio as well and get into .Net development. What is better...staying with my MAC or buying a PC?

depends on how much money ur wiling to pay
I got a macbook pro and it works faster than any other pcs i ever had
I installed windows xp on a separate partition, and never even look at mac os while developing .

MAC > PC
just make sure the mac ur getting supports bootcamp, that's how u can install windows on it

(I HAVE BOTH MAC AND PC ON MY MACBOOK PRO)

If you need the best of two worlds, try vmware fusion on the mac. It allows you to install multiple versions of windows on your mac and works great inside a window. Works very well: I know a couple of web developers/designers who work and test their pages in most versions of IE (e.g. internet explorer 6 and 7).

This way, you do not have to switch to a Windows machine, and you are much more flexible. Linux runs inside vmware fusion as well.
