operations of the mac side when on? scenario: one has a dual boot macbook w/ both vista and OS X. During a win session, some kind of nasty virus comes into the laptop.

next, you boot up with OS X.

wd or can that virus insinuate itself, or do damage, while OS X is operating?

If your windows partition has access to files on the OSX partition, it can damage those files while Windows is running.
